Amazon is eyeing another more than 1 million square-foot distribution center in the Dallas area.

The Dalparc Logistics Center building on Telephone Road has been tapped as the future site of the company’s latest warehouse complex, according to documents analyzed by the Dallas Morning News.

The e-commerce company already oversees 12 million square feet in North Texas, making it the largest occupier of warehouse and distribution space in the area. It manages a total of 400 million square feet of warehouse space across the country.

In 2017, Amazon leased a more than 900,000-square-foot building in the same industrial park on Dallas Parkway.

The latest Amazon shipping hub is set to be completed later this year and will include, “offices, break rooms, restrooms, trucker lounge, warehouse space, guardhouse, locker room, & parking lot expansion,” according to planning documents found by the outlet.

Illinois-based Korte Design Inc, a longtime partner of Amazon, is listed as the architect for the project.

The expansive warehouse south of Interstate 20 is one of three built by VanTrust Real Estate in the business park. The Kansas City-based developer will be working on another 245,000-square-foot speculative warehouse in the Dalparc Logistics Center development alongside the neighboring Amazon distribution center.

VanTrust also has warehouse developments in South Fort Worth and in Forney east of Dallas and is a partner in the $2 billion Frisco Station mixed-use project on the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco.
