Two office developers landed headquarters tenants in Collin County recently.
North Texas-based firms Atlantic Aviation and Fibergrate Structures will be expanding their office footprints with the leases, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Atlantic Aviation is making its move to Granite Properties’ 19-story Granite Park 6 at 5525 Granite Parkway, less than 3 miles from its current HQ at 5201 Tennyson Parkway in Plano. The aviation services provider signed a long-term lease for 26,600 square feet on the 17th floor starting early next year. Terms of the lease weren’t disclosed.
“They wanted to expand, and they wanted to expand into a higher-profile, Class-A space with more amenities,” Granite Properties Senior Managing Director Paul Bennett said.
Granite Park 6, delivered last year, is 26 percent leased with ready-to-lease suites ranging from 1,500 to 3,700 square feet on its sixth floor, and more are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The property includes a 150-seat lecture hall, an outdoor terrace, a fitness studio and a lounge with a golf simulator.
Meanwhile, Fibergrate Structures, a manufacturer of composite building materials and anti-slip surfaces, is moving its HQ from Prestonwood Tower, at 5151 Belt Line Road in North Dallas, to FarmWorks One at The Farm, JaRyCo’s mixed-use development at 1262 Blue Tractor Lane in Allen.
Fibergrate will occupy 15,000 square feet in the 102,000-square-foot office building, which will have private balconies, a fitness center and a three-story atrium lobby. It is slated to be completed early next year.
“In today’s competitive labor market, we set out to find easier access to the growing North Texas professional population,” Fibergrate President Eric Breiner said, emphasizing the importance of a “campus-like environment” to accommodate the company’s plans for expansion.
The Farm is a sprawling complex slated for 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, a 150-key hotel, 112 townhomes, 2,400 apartments and senior housing.
