A new residential community is coming to the Houston suburb of Cypress.

Wood Partners broke ground on its planned 330-unit community and is on schedule to open it next August, the Realty News Report reported. The project, which is being called Alta Cypress Springs, is located on Fry Road, immediately south of FM 529, where residents will have access to multiple major thoroughfares, including US 290, I-10 and Grand Parkway.

The project, which is being designed by Rockwall-based boutique architectural firm Design Balance, will have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans in a busy section of the region.

To the north, Arch-Con begun work on Wingspan, the first build-to-rent neighborhood in the master-planned Bridgeland Community. The development will feature 263 homes.

Alta Cypress Springs will be located within the Cy-Fair independent school district and near 11 major corporate headquarters and employers such as Houston Methodist West Hospital, Toshiba, Shell, BP, Igloo and Academy Sport + Outdoors.
