Pack your shotgun and get on down to San Antonio — that is, if you have $18.8 million to spare.
Four Seasons Ranch, a 2,373-acre spread just outside Pearsall, has hit the market asking over $7,900 per acre. The property is one of a handful of large ranches to hit the market in recent months as buyers continue flocking to land outside Texas’ major cities in spite of high rates.
While some luxury ranches have emphasized comfortable accommodations and activities, Four Seasons Ranch leans all the way in on hunting. The Brush Country estate has a trophy flock of Whitetail deer, including 21 breeding pens if the new owner wishes to continue the program. The deer run on a 300-acre pasture, while another 450-acre pasture hosts exotic animals including wild sheep and antelope.
Elsewhere on the property, there are several stock ponds for fishing and a 10,000-square-foot barn and workshop for handling kill.
There’s no shortage of places to sleep. The largest structure on the property is a 17,000-square-foot lodge with 10 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In all, the lodge has space for 40 guests, as well as an office, conference room and gift shop.
Other homes on the property include a pair of three-bedroom, two-bathroom houses, one for the owner and the other for the property’s foreman.
The interiors reflect the property’s focus on a hunter. In one room, a gigantic moose head is mounted above the fireplace, while a bear skin hangs from a gallery banister. A deer horn chandelier hangs from the ceiling above it all.
