Less than a year after purchasing the nearly 50-acre Newsday site for $54.5 million in Melville, Hartz Mountain Industries is making another play nearby for a 35.5-acre National Grid property on Spagnoli Road. Sources put it in the ballpark of $35 million to $40 million. It is mostly zoned for industrial development and also include residential areas. [Long Island Business News]
