East Hampton secures restraining order against owners of glass house in Springs

The owners of a glass house in Springs that has allegedly been operating like a hotel and hosting “promoted parties, photo shoots and product launches” have been hit with a temporary restraining order barring all such activities until they get a valid town rental registry permit, 27east reported. East Hampton secured the order against the owners of the house at 145 Neck Path on July 31. The property is currently on the market for $3.9 million, but its rooms — and the whole house itself — have been listed on rental websites, according to the outlet. “East Hampton Town’s residential areas are not ‘open for business’ and available to those who wish to make a quick profit on summertime events at the expense of our residents,” East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said in a statement.
