Fashion designer Reed Krakoff hopes to raze two adjacent properties on Dunes Lane, merge them and build a “dream house” at the site, according to the Independent. The former Coach creative director and current Tiffany & Co artistic director and his wife need a special permit from the East Hampton Town Zoning Board of Appeals for the project, which will be designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners’ Michael Trudeau. Tentative plans include an 8,000-square-foot, two-story home; board members, however, “were concerned that too much pristine dune land was going to be disturbed on the way to the final design,” the outlet reported. The board asked the applicants to come back with a revised plan in October. [Indy East End]
