A Michigan-based real estate investment trust shelled out $346.6 million for a 31-property portfolio that includes Lakeview, a Danbury-based senior community, the Fairfield County Business Journal reported. Sun Communities Inc. bought the community from Jensen’s Inc., which is based in Southington. “This acquisition is a great opportunity to further grow our Manufactured Housing portfolio with high quality communities that match our investment criteria,” Sun Communities Chairman and CEO Gary Shiffman said in a statement. Jensen’s President Kris Jensen, meanwhile, said the company was “excited to be joining the Sun platform and to become Sun shareholders.” [FBJ]
