Developer David Mann’s Lighthouse Living hopes to build a 9-story mixed-use building at a site in Port Chester that’s currently home to Tarry Lodge restaurant, which was co-founded by celebrity chef Mario Batali, the Westchester County Business Journal reported. A source told the Business Journal that existing structures at the site would be demolished to make way for 274 residential units, 27,905 square feet of retail space and 358 parking spaces. LoHud, meanwhile, reported that the restaurant will close by Nov. 22 and reopen as part of the new mixed-use development. Batali himself has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women and is no longer involved with the eatery, according to the Business Journal. The developer is expected to present the plans at Port Chester’s Planning Commission meeting at the end of the month. [WBJ] [LoHud]
