A developer hopes to build a mixed-use high rise building across from the Metro-North station in Port Chester, the Westchester County Business Journal reported. The development proposed by Broad Street Owner LLC would span 407,000 square feet and include 286 apartments, 12,600 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 267 parking spaces, the outlet reported. The developer needs Port Chester’s board of trustees to create a “CD-6-T Train Station District” at the site for plans to proceed, attorney David Cooper told the board. The project would be “the cornerstone of the village’s redevelopment effort in transit-oriented development in the downtown,” Cooper said. [WBJ]
