Westhampton Beach could be getting a new senior housing complex.

Twenty three-year-old developer Allon Avgi, who lives in Bellmore, hopes to build 16 townhomes for seniors on Old Riverhead Road, according to 27east. Two of the townhomes would be set aside for  workforce housing, according to 27east.

Avgi and architect Don Kolacki, who need four variances from the zoning board for the project to move forward, presented their plans to the Village Board last week.

“After I started spending my weekends out there, I thought it would be a great place to get my first major development built in,” Avgi told the outlet. [27east]
