The new owners of a now-shuttered car dealership in Southampton plan to preserve the Art Deco-style building and seek a new tenant.

David and Simone Levinson shelled out $2.25 million for the former B&M Automotive building on Pond Lane in September, for it, 27east reported. The former owners had secured a demolition permit in a bid to make the property more desirable.

Instead, the new owners said they will “give the building a facelift” and will renovate the interior to attract a new  tenant by spring, according to the report.

Southampton Mayor Jesse Warren told the outlet he was “very excited” about the preservation plans. [27east]
