The $1.3 billion Belmont Park redevelopment on Long Island will continue — despite a neighborhood group’s request for a temporary restraining order that would have placed a number of restrictions on construction, Long Island Business News reported. The Village of Floral Park had sought the order as part of its lawsuit against the project, but a State Supreme Court judge vetoed the request, according to the outlet. A spokesman for Empire State Development called the judge’s decision “a victory.” The parties involved in the suit are expected to appear in court again on Dec. 6. [LIBN]
