A fire engulfed a Water Mill mansion owned by publishing heiress Anne Hearst and her husband, author Jay McInerney, the New York Post reported. The blaze was reported early Saturday morning, and while no one was injured, the flames “consumed the roof of the sprawling home,” according to the outlet. Southampton Police Sgt. Michael Burns told the Post the fire stemmed from “a problem with the fireplace and chimney that was ongoing throughout the night.” It wasn’t immediately clear exactly how much damage the home sustained.
