A 1688-built home described by its owner as the oldest house in the Long Island village of Greenport has hit the rental market. Owner Susan Pinkwater is renting out the 3,300-square-foot home known as the Youngs-Coyle Farmhouse for $35,000 from Aug. 1 to Labor Day this coming summer, Newsday reported. The house itself was built by the son of one of Southold’s original settlers. Amenities include a heated swimming pool and a vegetable garden that renters will be allowed to farm. [Newsday]
