A hamlet on the East End is becoming an “enclave of affordable homes,” Newsday reported. Younger families are moving to Flanders and fixing up bungalows from the 1930s and 40s, Flanders Riverside and Northampton Community Association president Vince Taldone told the outlet. “For those who have jobs out east, this area is desirable because it’s affordable and Southampton Town taxes are low,” Taldone said. Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty’s Bridget Terry, meanwhile, called the area “a real summer home hot spot.” [Newsday]
