Businesses across Long Island opened their doors on Wednesday, entering phase two of New York’s  four-part post-coronavirus re-opening plan, according to Newsday. Business activities including outdoor dining, in-store retail, car sales, and in-person real estate transactions are all allowed to resume, albeit with precautions in place to mitigate the potential spread of Covid-19. Masks are required in most cases and social distancing guidelines are in effect. Occupancy is limited to 50 percent to help promote social distancing. Barring a spike in cases, the state could soon move on to the third phase, allowing restaurants and hotels to resume normal activity. [Newsday] – Dennis Lynch
