Berkley Insurance Company leases 63K sf at Stamford’s Metro Center

Empire State Realty Trust has signed Berkley Insurance Company to a 63,173-square-foot lease at the Metro Center in Stamford, according to Westfair Online.

Berkley will take a full floor and a half floor in the eight-story building through 2033. The firm joins Avis, Hertz, Thomson Reuters US and about a dozen other companies in the building.

Bernard Realty’s Belinda W. Scanlon represented Berkley in the transaction, while Newmark Knight Frank’s James Ritman and Empire State’s own Jeffrey H. Newman represented the real estate investment trust in the deal. Berkley is a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corp. [Westfair Online] — Dennis Lynch
