The drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers is looking to take advantage of the red-hot market in Montauk.

Chad Smith, a veteran of the band, is asking $15 million for his 5.5-bedroom, 4,750-square-foot home on four acres overlooking Fort Pond Bay, Realtor.com reported.

The gated property includes 259 feet of beachfront, a saltwater pool and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest cottage.

The 58-year-old drummer joined the band in 1988. He and his wife also own a Malibu home that they bought for $8.6 million in 2006, according to Realtor.com.

Despite the success of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smith is perhaps better known for his resemblance to actor Will Ferrell. Their likeness began to draw attention in the 2000s and led to a joint appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in 2014, in which they dressed alike. A drum-off between the two raised nearly $500,000 for charity. [Realtor.com] — Erik Engquist
