Connecticut plans to lift coronavirus restrictions on most business activities starting May 1, Gov. Ned Lamont said Monday.

Restrictions will be lifted on outdoor business activities, including a rule that barred serving alcohol without food and one requiring mask use when social distancing was impossible, according to the New Haven Register. The eight-seat limit on outdoor seating will also be lifted and curfews moved from 11 p.m. to midnight.

On May 19, all remaining restrictions will be lifted, including capacity limits for movie theaters and outdoor business. Lamont said businesses would be largely left to adopt and enforce safety precautions on their own.
