The Cox family of the eponymous conglomerate Cox Enterprises were the buyers of Chris Burch’s Southampton estate, according to the New York Post.
The family bought the estate at 232 First Neck Lane from the billionaire investor and his wife Tory Burch in October.
It had been on the market for about a month and was the subject of a bidding war that saw the Cox family close for about $1 million above the $15 million asking price.
The 7,000-square-foot home was built in 1984 and sits on about two exquisitely landscaped acres with a pool and tennis court that appears to have a grass surface. The home has nine bedrooms and bathrooms.
Burch put the property up for rent last summer, asking $425,000 for three months.
