Inside the secret world of South Florida’s underground tunnels

The Real Deal’s Residential Bureau Chief Katherine Kallergis toured an underground tunnel in the exclusive town of Manalapan that connects a waterfront mansion to the ocean and a private beach bungalow, as well as an under-construction nearby that will have a new tunnel. Kallergis walked the sites with builder Robert Burrage of RWB Construction Management. These secret tunnels run underneath State Road A1A and are accessible only to the private homeowners who own the Intracoastal-to-oceanfront estates.
