The outline of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center is starting to take shape near Fulton Street, with one corner of the north pool at the memorial completed. There will eventually be two pools, with waterfalls streaming into them, marking the locations of the towers. The names of the victims of 9/11 and of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing will be inscribed on parapets around the edges of the pools. The goal is to complete construction of the memorial by Sept. 11, 2011. The project also includes five office towers, to be built around the memorial site.
