Douglas Durst is stepping down as co-president of the Durst Organization, according to the Post. His cousin, who is the other co-president, Jodi Durst, will serve as the sole president. Durst will remain at the company as chairman. Durst said he expects to have less involvement in the company on a daily basis by giving up things like meetings. In his February 2007 Closing interview with The Real Deal, Durst said he didn’t like going to business functions. “I will still be at the office most days but not so involved in the day-to-day operations,” Durst told the Post, adding, “It’s interesting but it’s exhausting.”
