SL Green Realty CEO Marc Holliday was this year’s real estate honoree at National Jewish Health’s 43rd annual New York fundraising event, held Saturday night at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Midtown. The event consistently draws a strong real estate presence, as it was founded by developer Larry Silverstein, and this year proved no exception. Many big names in the industry were among the 1,271 attendees, mostly real estate-related professionals, that helped raise more than $3 million for the newly created Holliday Memorial Fund for Lung Cancer Research at NJH.

Silverstein spoke at the event, along with SL Green founder Stephen Green, who praised Holliday for transforming the firm into one of the city’s most prominent at a relatively young age (Holliday is 43 years old).

Holliday took the stage and applauded the industry’s yearly contributions to NJH. “It’s both gratifying and humbling to see the way my friends in the industry and my colleagues have stepped forward to ensure that the event will be successful once again,” he said. “This event has become a main event on my personal calendar.” — Marc Becker
