Broadway legend unloads eclectic UES pad priced at $20M

Broadway impresario Hal Prince’s flamboyantly decorated townhouse at 48 East 74th Street, which was recently asking $19.95 million, is in contract, the New York Observer reported.

The property, which is made up of 7,375 square feet plus a 2,000-square-foot basement, which Prince and wife Judy took possession of in 2009 for $12.5 million, was listed in November with Fox Residential for $22 million.

Brown Harris Stevens broker Paula Del Nunzio, who then took over the listing, declined to share details with the Observer. The buyer was not identified.

In addition to decorations that include cheetah prints, blood red carpet and polka dots, the living room has 20-foot ceilings and a central atrium. [NYO] — Julie Strickland
