It was a good day for Ice Cube. He got a new pad and didn’t have to use his A.K.

Last week, The Real Deal reported that actor Jean-Claude Van Damme had sold his Marina del Rey house for $7.3 million — one of the priciest transactions recorded in the neighborhood.

Now, as it turns out, the buyer was none other than rapper-cum-actor Ice Cube.

The 7,500-square-foot residence was originally on the market for $10 million. It was listed by Shaun Hurley of First Team Real Estate, and Cube was represented by Maison International’s Erin Alls.

With six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, the contemporary home is located right on the Grand Canal. It also features an elevator, gym, rooftop pool, six fireplaces and a home theater.

According to a quarterly report from The Agency, the average sale price for single-family luxury homes in Marina Del Rey was $1.9 million in the first quarter of 2016. [Curbed]Cathaleen Chen
