“Million Dollar Listing Miami” cast unveiled

Bravo to start airing reality television series in June

After months of speculation, Bravo finally revealed the cast of “Million Dollar Listing Miami.”

The network announced on Tuesday that Samantha DeBianchi and Douglas Elliman Real Estate’s Chad Carroll and Chris Leavitt are the three brokers to be featured on the new show, which premiers in June. World of Wonder Productions is the producer of the Miami edition of “Million Dollar Listing.” Bravo is counting on the Miami series to emulate the successful New York and Los Angeles versions.

“With a surging market in South Florida, properties are selling for record rates and agents are cashing in on massive commissions like never before,” Bravo said in Tuesday’s written announcement. “Business can get heated as the brokers attempt to make a name for themselves and outshine their competition by landing the next listing.” [Bravo]Eric Kalis

    Theres a lot better more well known agents who sell a lot more than these people. Looks like they are just going after regular brokers.

    This a joke the amount of brokers we have that have done more and would be so much better than these three is insane. Elliman has the worst practices in real estate and every broker knows it. They only have branding skills everything else out the window. The Jills suprass these guys blind folded

    While a lot of other brokers in Miami may be more successful and well known than the three chosen for the show, it is only fair to keep in mind that not all may be willing to play the “reality show game”. Additionally, DE is known for allowing it’s brokers to participate in such shows while other brokerages do not want or allow there agents to participate in such shows as MDL. It was very well publicized that one of the main reasons that Luis Ortiz left or was let go from KW was because they did not want to have him continue with Bravo’s version of MDLNY. At the end of the day, it is mere entertainment. Everyone whom is involved in the daily grind of the real estate business knows that deals do not come together as easy as MDL makes it seem.

        I’ve cleared a few million and still record a 6 figure income from R.E. sales. I just see a better way for consumers and am frustrated with dealing with other agents in the business that only care about commissions.

          Umm not true,,,,you were in WPB,,then you tried Miami,,,then didnt you try Miami all the way to WPB? Its ok its not for everyone,And a better way? Like what saying things like dude and yada yada? And to an extent i agree some people in Real Estate are not professional it should have tougher standards,,,not lees standards and hash tagging every word and saying crush it are not higher standards

            I have no problem with innovation at all,,,,I have seen many real estate low fee, or 399 to list or 2% companies come and go like the wind especially since 2006 so what you are doing is nothing new,,,typically the weak sales people will lead by offering lower fees,,or no 6 month listing contract,,i see that all the time also. it just seems you lead with that also and then have the hook of ,,,oh yeah I can do it for 3% or 4% or 6%,,,instead why not elevate the industry, be more professional and really deliver to the clients,,,you take the top tier firms like Premier Estates that is who other agents and firms should strive to be,,,,

    I don’t know much about Chris. Chad is a solid choice but I have to say that Samantha is a really horrible choice by the show. She is definitely not the brightest person and lacks common sense. This is not the Jersey Shore. MDL NYC is a perfect example of what to do right..

    99% of the U.S. adult population are NOT real estate agents. And 95% of those same U.S. adults are NOT actively in the market. Annually $1,500,000,000,000 ($1.5Trillion) worth of real estate is sold over 5,000,000 properties.     I can’t wait to watch the show and I think the Cast selection is great EXCEPT it would have been awesome if the first Woman Realtor that was chosen for the Franchise would have been one that’s equally as successful in sales volume as the 2 guys that are on the show. There are beautiful and successful women Realtors in South Florida who have very high sales volume. Maybe they were contacted and declined to participate in the show or were interviewed and not chosen or maybe they work for Brokerages that don’t allow their Agents to participate in Reality TV Shows but I don’t know since I’m not the Casting Director.

    Congratulations to Samantha DeBianchi for being a smart young woman who’s hard working, owns her R.E. Brokerage, graduated from College early, and is quickly climbing the Ladder of R.E. success, BUT her sales volume isn’t anywhere close to the level of what’s expected of Agents on Million Dollar Listing. Even the Casting Call for the Show specified that the ideal candidate “must have a high volume of multimillion dollar listings”. Samantha always has very few listings and most aren’t usually multimillion dollar listings.

    The Show Bios state that Samantha has sold around $25 Million worth of Real Estate in the last 3 years. That amount is certainly commendable and way above average, but it doesn’t qualify for the truly upper echelon of sales production. Chris is said to have sold over $120 Million worth of Real Estate in 2013 alone and Chad is said to have sold over $200 Million worth of Real Estate in the last 2 years.

    Supposedly, Bravo conducted a serious vetting process of the Realtors who were chosen for the show, so they obviously knew that Samantha was “up and coming” and wanted to add that twist to the plot of the show, like Luis on Million Dollar Listing New York having a sales level that’s below Frederik and Ryan.

    When contacted by the show, Samantha could have declined since she knows her sales level isn’t at the very top and knows that will be scrutinized and magnified by being on TV, but she must have decided to give it a shot anyway since it’s an opportunity for business exposure.
