Whether you love him or hate him, Altman’s luxury sales business places him and his team at Douglas Elliman near the top of Los Angeles County residential real estate. 

Altman, a former cast member of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” has courted controversy among some in the local industry for what they would say are aggressive tactics to gaining clients and negotiating. Clients seem not to have taken notice: the team is one of the market’s biggest producers, with over $9 billion in career sales, more than $5 billion of which has been done since 2021. Altman, who started the team with his wife, Heather Altman and brother Matt Altman, has steadily grown the business. The team opened its first dedicated office on Robertson Boulevard in 2019, and expanded to Orange County and an office in Corona del Mar in 2024. 

While the reality show helped further expand the Altman Brothers name, Altman and Heather called it quits on “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” at the end of season 15 to focus on family.
