Ever wanted to play tennis with Denis Leary, go on a nature walk with Martha Stewart, take a sailboat ride with Brooke Shields, or play mini-golf on Tribeca’s Pier 25 with “Million Dollar Listing New York’s” Fredrik Eklund? Now you can. The Friends of Hudson River Park, a private fundraising organization, are hosting a celebrity auction to raise a little green for their beloved park.

Each of the celebrities up for auction is a friend of the park and lives in the area. Bids can be submitted online at Charitybuzz.com/HRPK through May 22, according to the Villager.

The 5-mile-long Hudson River Park is supposed to be financially self-sustaining and has seen its government funding cut off in recent years.

“We wanted to offer something that you could only get in New York and only experience in Hudson River Park,” said Gregory Boroff, executive director of the Friends. “Two of our most important resources are the singular programming and location of the park and our celebrity friends. Bringing the two together seemed like a natural fit!” [The Villager] Christopher Cameron
