Out-of-towners looking for a taste of New York City needn’t travel much farther than their couches, thanks to a bevy of sitcoms that helped portray the Big Apple from the late 1950s up until 2000. Scouting NY mapped out the residences of some of the city’s most beloved fictional characters.

Though a majority of these residences are in Manhattan — especially near Central Park and in the West Village–a handful of sitcoms gave the outer boroughs starring roles, including All in the FamilyThe Honeymooners, and The Patty Duke Show. Want to know where these popular — and in some cases, iconic — television characters live? It’s on the map. [Scouting NY] — Kerry Barger
