Gordon Gekko would be proud.

Academy Award-winning pair Michael Douglas — known for his roles in movies like “Wall Street” and “Basic Instinct” — and “Chicago” star Catherine Zeta-Jones sold their Bedford, N.Y.-home for $7.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The couple renovated the property — a Colonial style, brick, two-story building on nearly 6 acres — last year to add an expansive master suite closet, a private gym and a center island kitchen, according to the newspaper. The house, built in the 1930s, has 6,600 square feet of living space, six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

People who stay in the recently built guest house at the home have access to a private kitchen, living room and bedroom with its own bathroom.

Douglas, 70, and Jones, 45, bought the home in 2010 for $5 million. They listed the property for $8.1 million.

Fellow actor Bruce Willis recently purchased a home in Bedford, as reported. The town is located about an hour outside New York City. [LAT] — Claire Moses
