Kushner to buy Times Square retail condo for $296M

Africa-Israel USA and Five Mile Capital in contract to sell roughly 250K sf space

Jared Kushner is buying a retail condo in Times Square for $296 million.

He signed a contract for the 250,000-square-foot space at 229 West 43rd Street on Wednesday, according to the New York Post. Africa-Israel USA and Five Mile Capital are the sellers. Snapchat is also located in the building.

The condominium — which houses Discovery Times Square, Bowlmor, Haru Times Square, Guitar Center and Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar — is located at the former New York Times printing plant, the newspaper reported, and has frontage along West 43rd and 44th streets, according to the Post. The 18-story, landmarked building spans 589,617 square feet.

Cushman & Wakefield‘s Helen Hwang represented the sellers. CBRE’s  Lon Rubackin and Gary Trock represented Kushner, according to the newspaper. [NYP] — Claire Moses
