David Shaffer, Anna Wintour’s ex-husband, listed his 3,000-square-foot co-op in Soho for $6 million.
Shaffer, a child psychiatrist and academic, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bath pad at 284 Lafayette Street for $4.3 million in 2012. The top-floor unit at the six-story, 45-unit co-op features 11-foot ceilings, eight skylights, cast iron columns and built-in bookshelves (possibly filled with back issues of Vogue?).
He bought the Soho apartment after selling his West Village townhouse at $6.88 million to Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, the New York Observer reported. Shaffer and Wintour were married for 15 years and have two children together.
Douglas Elliman brokers Abigail Agranat, Leslie Mason and Andrew Darwin have the listing.
The Vogue editor-in-chief and Conde Nast moved downtown to One World Trade Center in late 2014, taking taking 1 million square feet of space. The publishing giant recently sublet 50,000 square feet of its space at SL Green Realty’s 711 Third Avenue. [NYO] — Dusica Sue Malesevic
