Kudos to Trevor Noah for surviving his first year in New York City.
The South African comedian, who moved to the city last year to replace “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart, is renting a two-bedroom condo in Hell’s Kitchen that was last asking $15,000 per month.
Noah’s new home, a 2,000-square-foot pad in the 51-unit Stella Tower at 425 West 50th Street, comes with East River views, soaring ceilings and a chef’s kitchen, according to the New York Post. He previously called the Upper West Side home.
The 18-story Stella Tower was built in 1927 and designed by the noted architect Ralph Walker, who named the building after his wife. It was converted into condos by JDS Development Group [TRDataCustom] and Property Markets Group in partnership with Starwood Capital Group. According to StreetEasy, units at the Stella have sold for an average of $4.76 million ($2,742 per square foot) and the 33 units that were marketed for rent average $10,200 a month.
