When you’re the highest-paid entertainer in the world, you can afford to live in the height of luxury — and in many locations.
Taylor Swift topped Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list this year with reported earnings of $170 million.
Over the years, she has used her money to purchase and rent a number of incredible residences across the US, from Beverly Hills, California, to Nashville, Tennessee, where she made her name as a country star.
We’ve previously taken a look inside Swift’s $17 million seaside Rhode Island mansion — which she reportedly paid for in cash in 2011 — and her new $40,000-a-month townhouse in New York’s West Village.
All told, she’s spent about $44 million buying real estate (not counting her rental).
Take a look inside all five of Swift’s current homes across the country:
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: In 2009, at the age of 20, Swift bought a penthouse apartment at The Adelicia complex in midtown Nashville for nearly $2 million.
In 2012, Swift gave Katie Couric a tour of the 4,062-square-foot penthouse, which Vulture has described as ‘whimsically girlie,’ with a style that resembles a ‘shabby-chic Alice in Wonderland.’
The rooms are reportedly ‘cluttered with books and tchotchkes’ and feature brick walls and ‘an eye-popping cacophony of patterned wallpaper.’
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Swift purchased a ‘Cape Cod-style’ home very far from Cape Cod for $3.97 million in 2011.
The 2,826-square-foot home includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The estate — which sits on a 1.37-acre Lot And Features A Tennis Court and a small guesthouse — has also served as a background for pictures of Swift and her friends.
WATCH HILL, RHODE ISLAND: In 2013, Swift bought an 11,000-square-foot Rhode Island mansion for $17.75 million, and she reportedly paid for it in cash.
The massive home features eight bedrooms, eight fireplaces, and a pool.
The mansion’s 5.23 acres of waterfront property on the Atlantic Ocean served as the setting for Swift’s A-list Fourth of July party, which she hosted this summer with her friends.
NEW YORK CITY: This summer, Swift started renting a $40,000-a-month townhouse in Manhattan’s West Village.
The apartment features five bedrooms, two living rooms, and a private garage.
In the basement of her luxurious townhouse, Swift has an awesome indoor pool with a chandelier hanging over it.
But Swift is renting the West Village house because she’s busy renovating the two penthouse floors in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, seen here, that she bought from ‘Lord of the Rings’ director Peter Jackson in 2014 for a cool $20 million.
She’s combining the two floors in a project that will reportedly cost $535,000. This is what the place looks like pre-renovation — the wood beams seem like a nod to her more rustic Nashville style.
The penthouse space is a massive (by New York standards) 8,300 square feet. Here’s the airy kitchen with a marble island and and stainless-steel appliances.
