The former apartment of Benny Goodman — the famed jazz musician known as the “King of Swing” — is now on the market for $8.6 million, the New York Post reported.

The penthouse at 200 East 66th Street, where Goodman reportedly once held a jam sesh with the late King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej, was redone by designer Vincente Wolf. The 3,166-square-foot apartment features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also boasts a 600-square-foot wraparound terrace and two fireplaces. Sharon Baum of the Corcoran Group TRData LogoTINY has the listing. She told the newspaper she used to hear Goodman practicing the clarinet when she visited a friend in the building.

Manhattan House, which has a 10,000-square-foot rooftop club, a spa and yoga studio, has a long history with famous faces. Actress Grace Kelly, former New York Gov. Hugh Carey and baseball legend Jackie Robinson have all called it home.

The 20-story building was built in 1952 and renovated in 2007. Earlier this year media mogul, Martha Debayle, often dubbed “the Oprah Winfrey of Mexico,” purchased a $3.4 million apartment in the building. [NYP]Miriam Hall
