Zimbabwean mogul buys Eldorado penthouse for $25 million

Strive Masiyiwa, a Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist bought two penthouse units at the prestigious  Eldorado tower for $24.5 million, according to public records.

The adjacent units at the 29-story tower at 300 Central Park have five bedrooms spread across the top two floors of the building.

Masiyiwa is the founder and executive chairman of diversified international telecommunications group Econet Wireless. He was included on Forbes’ list of top 50 richest people in Africa in 2015. According to Wikipedia, he is London based, but perhaps no longer? If this is simply a pied-à-terre it must be one of the nicest in the city.

The sellers were John and Valerie Rowe.
