The “House of Cards” house just hit the market

When you weren’t completely entranced by Claire Underwood‘s chill-but-deadly smile or seemingly endless wardrobe of structured dresses, you might have noticed the exquisite interiors of the Underwood house. Sleek and regal, the Victoria abode is definitely fit for a president — or two.

The IRL owners of the home where Netflix’s “House of Cards” was filmed have listed it for auction. While only the exterior of the house was featured in the show, this extravagant 19th-century gem in the middle of Baltimore’s Bolton Hill is something special, whether you watch the show or not.

Listed by Alex Cooper, the opening bid starts at $500,000 and is perfect for someone in the market for a piece of both television and actual history.

With 4,600 square feet of space, 12-foot ceilings, six fireplaces and marble pretty much everywhere, it’s clear that there is nothing understated about this space. It is a dream pad for entertaining, hosting weekend guests, and oh, I don’t know, making world-altering political decisions.

Upon entering the home, guests are welcomed by a spacious center hall and living room that lead to a family room, dining room (with a butler’s pantry), a half bath, and two grand staircases — one at the front of the house and one at the rear.

The lower level of the house has an expansive gourmet kitchen that features an incredibly cute breakfast bar, pristine granite counters, and a breakfast room that opens up onto the rear patio. This kind of indoor and outdoor square-footages is pretty rare in this neighborhood.

There are two large bedrooms, one of them was formerly the Master (and the space reflects that!), that share a full bathroom. The entire second upper level of the home is a stylish master suite with a gorgeous bedroom, office space, dressing room, and a spa master bath with a jetted tub and walk-in shower.

The home also features a two-car garage, a camera-operated security system, and a stunning 3-story light well that lets in air and sun throughout the entire house.

Keep an eye out for the live auction that begins on July 27, 2017. In the meantime, get your “House of Cards” fix by touring the rest of the stunning home.
