Get a piece of history and Hollywood with this Wainscott property, which, at $55 million, is one of the most expensive  listings in the Hamptons. Built by ship carpenters in 1877, Kilkare is hitting the market for only the second time in the past 140 years. It features seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and 5,000 square feet of living space. The film-famous property, which was featured in “The Nanny Diaries” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” offers 330 feet of oceanfront and a 60-foot outdoor pool. Frank Newbold and Beate Moore, of Sotheby’s International Realty, and Ed Petrie, Julie Wolfe and James Petrie of Compass have the listing. [NYT]
