Westchester & Fairfield Q&A

What is Westchester?
The term Westchester is shorthand for dozens of municipalities, including Yonkers. The county's housing varies by both type and price point. Townhouses, other styles of attached single-family homes, and high-rise condominiums proliferate in the centers of towns like Scarsdale and Larchmont. Large, detached single-family homes, including mansions, dot the countryside and more suburban areas.
What is Fairfield?
Fairfield, the most southwestern county in Connecticut, includes some of the state's largest cities, such as Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, and Danbury. In these cities, high-end residential real estate includes townhouses and luxury apartments. As Fairfield includes the state's four largest cities, commercial real estate in downtown areas includes office space and retail centers. Fairfield County's "Gold Coast" includes Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan, which are often ranked among the richest towns in the US.
