New York Mets pitcher A.J. Ramos is making Sky his home base.

The baseball player, who moved to New York City this summer after leaving his former team the Miami Marlins, is leasing a one-bedroom at the tower at 605 West 42nd Street, according to the Moinian Group, which developed the rental tower. Ramos is paying rent, the developer said, but it was not immediately clear how much. One-bedrooms listed on the building’s website start at $4,155 per month.

The 71-story, 1,175-unit tower is the city’s largest rental building, and somewhat of a pro athlete hotspot. It’s home to the New York Knicks’ Sasha Vujacic and Kristaps Porzingis, and when LeBron James was in town recently they played a much-hyped game of pick-up in its full-length basketball court.

Sources previously told The Real Deal Moinian has been offering two three months free rent on new leases. Celebrities who live there have been offered additional sweeteners, sources said.

Some luxury rentals have been using Instagram influencers and celebrities to help fill their buildings. Two Trees Management, for example, is reportedly paying celebrities who live in their buildings for posts that feature the apartments. Douglas Elliman is also paying a social media-savvy couple to help rent out apartments at Herald Towers.

Last month, the Moinian Group and SL Green Realty, which owns a 20-percent stake in the property, refinanced the building with a $550 million loan from Freddie Mac.
