Brooklyn luxury market saw 21 contracts signed last week

There were 21 contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week, split between 10 condominiums, 10 houses and one co-op.

Volume for the week of March 19 to March 25 was much higher than the prior week, when only eight contracts worth $2 million or more were signed for homes.  The average contract price was for just over $3 million, and the total contract volume was about $63.3 million, according to a new report from Stribling & Associates.

The highest priced contract last week was a three-family home at 16 Second Place in Carroll Gardens, which went for slightly less than $5 million. The home spans 5,984 square feet with a front and backyard, and the owner has the option to expand it.

The number two spot went to condo 1H at 9 College Place in Brooklyn Heights, which was last asking about $4.6 million. The unit spans 3,442 square feet with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, with amenities including a chef’s kitchen and private valet parking.

Other notable deals last week included a condo at 100 Amity Street in Cobble Hill that was on the market for $3.7 million, a condo at 203 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill listed for $3.6 million and a house at 102 Prospect Place in Park Slope that went for about $3.5 million. — Eddie Small
