Douglas Elliman is boosting its presence in Brooklyn and Queens by acquiring branches of the boutique brokerage Space Marketing Shop, which specializes in high-end residential properties.
Elliman is adding two branches of the company to its portfolio: the Long Island City office at 47-36 Vernon Boulevard, which has 18 agents and one administrator, and the Brooklyn branch at 190 Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, which has nine agents and one administrator. Both teams will keep working out of their current office spaces.
Business partners Edward Cho and Aran Scott founded Space Marketing Shop in 2011 and have done more than $500 million in sales since then, according to Douglas Elliman. Cho will lead the company’s Long Island City branch, while Scott will lead the Park Slope branch with Anthony Robles, who joined Space Marketing Shop in 2011.
Robles and Scott launched the Park Slope office in 2016 and have closed more than $250 million in sales over the past two years. Scott said in a statement Elliman gives them “an unprecedented breadth of resources to serve our clients and to grow our business.”
