Armonk estate hits online auction block in bid to draw foreign buyers

Real estate auction company Concierge Auctions is selling an estate in Armonk through an online auction in an effort to bring Chinese buyers to the table. Bidding on the approximately 9,000-square-foot home at 3 Tallwoods Road kicked off on Tuesday and will close on Friday, LoHud reported. The estate hit the market for $4.6 million last year, but is currently asking $2.9 million. Concierge Auctions’ director of business development Paulina Kimbel said the company isn’t just targeting Chinese buyers. “But we’ve expanded to reach out to Chinese audience as well because for the last 10 years, we’ve seen an organic uptick in Chinese interests,” she explained. [LoHud]
