A Yonkers-based firm that’s planning to buy two buildings on Lake Avenue for around $3 million wants to bring a co-working space and an ax throwing venture to one of them, LoHud reported. Momentum Realty Acquisitions is currently in contract to buy 222 Lake Avenue, a building in Yonkers’ historic carpet mills complex that was gutted by a fire in 2017, and an industrial building at 252C Lake Avenue. The former will likely become a mixed-use property known as The Mill that will house a food hall and other tenants. Momentum’s principal Ruben Guerrero said The Mill would be aimed at a “millennial crowd.” Guerrero is “in talks with a national co-working company” and is also interested in leasing part of the building’s ground floor to a venture that offers ax throwing — a “recreational sport” that’s become increasingly popular[LoHud]
