Hamptons agent Erica Grossman snags her 2nd straight win at Elliman awards
Enzo Morabito was the top team in the market
Erica Grossman and the Enzo Morabito team both won Douglas Elliman’s top Hamptons awards for the second year in a row.
Grossman won the brokerage’s top individual award in the Hamptons in 2018 based on gross commission income, Elliman said in a statement Tuesday. She beat out David Donohue and Terry Thompson, who came in second and third place at the company’s “Ellies” awards last night.
Based out of the Southampton office, Grossman has a long roster of pricey listings. Her closed deals include 328 Gin Lane, which sold for $31 million, making it 2017’s priciest Hamptons sale. Her current listings include 6 Olde Towne Lane, which was asking $34.9 million and is in contract.
Morabito won the top team prize. In The Real Deal’s 2018 ranking, his team ranked fifth with $111 million in sales volume. The Atlantic team and the Avigdor/Pendoca team took home Elliman’s second- and third-place team awards.
The winners faced a slowing market in the Hamptons, which wasn’t immune to the city’s sluggishness last year. In the fourth quarter, the market saw a 35 percent decline in sales versus a year earlier, according to an Elliman report. Meanwhile, listing inventory surged 81 percent.
Elliman also crowned top agents and teams for Westchester and Long Island. The first-place prizes for Long Island went to Maggie Keats and the Louise Pitlake “Power” team — both of whom also won the last two years. The brokerage said it was Long Island’s top firm, by closed residential sales, in 2018.
Over in Westchester, Glorianne Mattesi won the top individual prize while Berkowitz Marrone was the top team. Elliman had two of the top five single-family home sales in the market, the statement said.
Nationwide, Elliman said its sales volume grew 8 percent, totaling $28.1 billion.
