Zayn Malik is going in a new direction.

The 26-year-old singer, who gained international stardom as a member of British boy band One Direction, has sold his penthouse apartment at 57-63 Greene Street for $9.45 million, property records show.

The seller was listed as “Drop Zed Properties NYC, LLC.” Malik was identified as the person behind the LLC when he purchased the property for $10.7 million in 2018. The buyer is named as a trust whose listed representative, Alan Halperin, declined to comment.

It is the second time in recent months that Malik has sold a property at a loss. The star reportedly offloaded his 2,332-square-foot Los Angeles compound for $2.94 million in October, down from the $3.1 million he paid for it in 2015.

The New York property, which Malik purchased following his breakup from supermodel Gigi Hadid, spans 3,597 square feet and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a custom steel staircase, according to StreetEasy.

The unit, asking $10.2 million, went into contract on Oct. 30 and closed on Dec. 19.

Amanda Hudson of Dallien Realty had the listing. She could not be reached for comment.

Malik left One Direction in 2015. The band is reportedly mulling a reunion this year, but Malik is not expected to join.
