Streep and husband Donald Gummer sold the penthouse for $15.8M

The buyer of actress Meryl Streep’s Tribeca penthouse is hedge funder Kenneth Tropin, public records show.

Through a limited liability company, Tropin paid $15.8 million for the penthouse at the River Loft condominium, located at 92 Laight Street.

Tropin is founder and chairman of Connecticut-based Graham Capital Management, a hedge fund manager that also has offices in West Palm Beach and London. A message left for Tropin at his firm was not immediately returned.

The full-floor, four-bedroom unit measures just under 4,000 square feet, pricing the deal at about $3,950 per square foot.

Oscar-winner Streep and her sculptor husband Don Gummer scooped up the home in 2006 for $10.13 million. The couple put it on the market in 2018 for $24.6 million, though the most recent asking price was $18.25 million.

Juliette Janssens and Allison Bandier Koffman of Sotheby’s International Realty represented Streep and Gummer in the transaction. Douglas Elliman’s Brett Miles represented the buyer, according to the Journal.
