A condo in Dumbo was the priciest residential deal to go into contract in Brooklyn last week.
The four-bedroom unit at 85 Adams Street went for $3.8 million. It spans 2,330 square feet and went into contract at its asking price after 120 days on the market.
Overall, Brooklyn saw 20 contracts signed for $2 million or more last week, split between 11 condos and nine houses, according to the latest report from Compass. The report looks at homes in the borough priced at $2 million or above.
The average price of those contracts was about $2.7 million, and the total volume was about $54.7 million. The properties spent an average of 96 days on the market and sold at an average of 3 percent less than their asking prices. It was a busier week than the week before, when 13 contracts were signed for about $34.1 million.
The second priciest deal to go into contract, at about $3.5 million, was for a townhouse at 266 Clermont Avenue in Fort Greene. The four-bedroom home spans 3,100 square feet and went into contract at its asking price after 28 days on the market.
Other notable Brooklyn deals last week included a condo at 2 Northside Piers in Williamsburg for about $3.4 million and a townhouse at 412 Adelphi Street in Fort Greene for $3.1 million.
